S tratford F estive D elights

Relax on a delightfully festive tour in the historic town of Stratford staying in a beautiful countryside hotel. Explore the birthplace of Shakespeare, visit Warwick Castle in all its festive glory, and indulge in a wonderful, traditional Christmas Day lunch. Enjoy mince pies, Christmas cake, and festive cheers galore.

DAY 1 Journey from your home station to Stratford and, on arrival, we will make our way to the Stratford Manor Hotel, our hotel for the next four nights. After a welcome cream tea, we enjoy free time to explore our new surroundings before meeting for our first evening meal together. (D) DAY 2 Today, we travel to historic Stratford , the birthplace of Shakespeare, where we enjoy the day at leisure to explore hidden gems and iconic buildings. We can stroll around this 800-year-old market town from quaint side streets with unique shops to open parklands along the river and complete any last-minute Christmas shopping! This afternoon, we journey back to the hotel and enjoy our evening meal together before having the chance to attend a local Midnight Mass with hot chocolate and mince pies available on our return to the hotel. (B,D) DAY 3 Merry Christmas! After a leisurely breakfast, the morning is free to relax in the comfort of our hotel and make use of the spa facilities or we

can explore our countryside surroundings. We enjoy a pre-dinner glass of fizz before savouring a wonderful traditional Christmas Day lunch with all the trimmings followed by tea, coffee, and Christmas cake. Afterwards, we can watch the King’s Speech and, this evening, a buffet meal will be served in the Shakespeare Restaurant. (B,L,D) DAY 4 This morning, after a hearty breakfast, we transfer by private coach to Warwick Castle where we have plenty of time to explore this iconic medieval fortress in all its festive finery, discover fascinating history, learn stories of great battles, and marvel at the exquisite state rooms. This afternoon, we return to the hotel where tea, coffee, and mince pies are available before we enjoy our final evening meal together. (B,D) DAY 5 After breakfast, we bid farewell to Stratford and make our way to the station for our homeward journeys.
