NEW TOUR

Steam through the spectacular winter scenery of the Black Forest on this nostalgic tour to Germany. Ride behind steam on picturesque railway lines including the dramatic Schwarzwald Railway and the winding Strohgau Railway, enjoy a vintage railcar charter at Trossingen, visit the charming lakeside town of Titisee, and enjoy free time in the city of Stuttgart.

DAY 1 Travelling by Eurostar from London St Pancras to Paris, then onwards to Stuttgart and our hotel for five nights, the Hotel Unger, where we check in and enjoy our first evening at leisure. DAY 2 After breakfast this morning, we travel to Rottweil for a full day of steam with the Eisenbahnfreunde Zollernbahn journeying through the spectacular winter scenery of the Black Forest (route details to be confirmed closer to departure) and we return to Stuttgart later in the day for an evening at leisure. (B) DAY 3 Today, we return to Rottweil for our second day of steam to experience the dramatic Schwarzwald Railway to Triberg. Considered one of the most beautiful railway lines in Europe and an engineering masterpiece, we will journey over the challenging terrain through a series of tunnels, loops, and viaducts, passing picturesque villages, and enjoying panoramic views of the Black Forest. (B) DAY 4 After breakfast, we travel by rail to Trossingen for an exclusive charter at the heritage railway in a unique electric railcar and, on our return, we will

enjoy a visit to the small museum which houses the historic rolling stock. After our lunch at a local restaurant, we continue by train to the lakeside town of Titisee enjoying free time in this charming spa town alongside the stunning glacial lake before returning to Stuttgart for an evening at leisure. (B,L) DAY 5 This morning, we join the local rail service to Korntal for a ride behind steam along the winding, 22km Strohgau Railway , characterised by its steep gradients and scenic route, we enjoy a nostalgic journey to Weissach. Here, we have free time to explore and take lunch before our return steam journey where we have a fantastic photo opportunity as we watch the afternoon steam departure before returning to Stuttgart for our final evening. (B) DAY 6 We bid farewell to Stuttgart and to Germany, returning by rail to Paris, where we will join the Eurostar service to London St Pancras.
