Big on Quality. Small Enough to Care.
46 YEARS
Welcome to Railtrail Tours
I love it when the long dark nights of Winter have gone and the new dawn of Spring brings fresh hope and belief that the world was created to bring wonderful pleasure to our eyes and happiness to our souls. This, despite the doom and gloom that today’s media is so intent on preaching, is why we sometimes need to remind ourselves that we were born to enjoy life and nothing beats booking a holiday! 46 years ago, my Railtrail dream became reality when I organised and advertised a 4-day tour by rail to the Scottish Highlands and, today, it gives me great pleasure that our 2026 / 27 collection of tours now includes...
⭐ Classic Rail Tours ⭐ Rail & River Cruises ⭐ Fly & Rail Tours ⭐ Heritage Steam Tours ⭐ UK, Europe & Worldwide Tours
Our tours are created and researched by ourselves, and a small number of like-minded partners, and we believe in putting quality before quantity where our lifetime knowledge and experience creates these wonderful tours for you to enjoy. Whether it be that ground-breaking Scottish Highlands tour of yesteryear that’s still as popular today, our unique Australian Steam Adventure tour that only we operate, or your own choice of tour brochured here – they all show that taking a holiday with Railtrail Tours is the antithesis of a production line holiday company. Hence our motto... Big on Quality. Small Enough to Care.
Plus, if you prefer to travel independently, our sister company, Railtrail Travel Services Ltd, can provide you with European & Worldwide rail tickets, backed up with unparalleled knowledge to take the stress out of your travel arrangements. Just give us a call and we will connect you! Kind regards,
