‘‘ Superb service – again! All the relevant information was given in a helpful way. Also, a very prompt phone call back about one specific query. Thank you, Marie. ’’ Mr P., Chessington Easy to navigate. ‘‘ Website easy to navigate, had a couple of queries – easily remedied! Love the personal touch, thank you Phil for your help! ’’ Mrs G., Sittingbourne Excellent booking agents. ‘‘ Our booking experience was first class. Both of the agents were friendly and helpful, checking up to ensure we were given the right information. Hopefully the trip will be as good! ’’ Mr S., London Easy to contact. ‘‘ Easy to contact, by phone; not a lot of those nowadays. It’s good to speak to someone and not have to play with the internet all the time. ’’ Mr T., Walsall Very easy to book a trip. ‘‘ I found it very easy to book a trip by telephone. The loyalty points I had from previous trips were deducted from the cost of the trip. ’’ Mr D., Mansfield First time traveller. ‘‘ This is the first time I will travel with Railtours but so far impressed with the handling of the booking process. ’’ Mr D., Wetherby
‘‘ We have had 3 Holidays with Railtrail, 2 in Europe and 1 in Scotland. 2 more booked for 2025, 1 in England and 1 in Switzerland. Every holiday has been packed full of interest. The hotels have all been excellent, and because of the holiday type, close to a railway station for convenience. It is always nice to travel in limited numbers with people of like-minded interests. The tour managers are excellent. It is also good to have some freedom to do independent things as time allows. Booking has always been straightforward and the office staff only too willing to give advice if required. First class holidays. ’’ Mrs C., Birmingham – travelled on multiple Railtrail tours An excellent break. ‘‘ Excellent hotel with first class tour guide combined with sunny weather made this an excellent break. ’’ Mr G., Rowley Regis – travelled on the Classic Cornwall Coast & Country tour A very memorable trip. ‘‘ Based in a good hotel in Newcastle ideal for the trips we made around the surrounding area. Beamish was one of the places we visited as well as Bamburgh Castle, Vindolanda & the Angel of the North. Train trips on the South Tynedale railway & the Heathershaw Light Railway plus a boat trip to the Farne Islands. A lot to see during the holiday enhanced by the excellent Tour Manager Les. Good food at the hotel made this a very memorable trip which I would recommend. ’’ Mr M., Ely – travelled on the Step Back in Tyne – Discover the North East tour Really enjoyed this trip. ‘‘ Really enjoyed this trip. It packs a lot into a short space of time, so you are very busy each day. Travelling to and from the UK is a very full day, but when travelling by train it is nowhere near as arduous as by car. Another benefit of the trip was travelling on the Steam Ferries on the Swiss lakes. ’’ Mr L., Aylesbury – travelled on the Switzerland Steam-Powered Six tour
