The 2023 Steam Festival at Dresden is being severely reduced in size by the organisers, due to the high cost of coal. Therefore, we have reduced the time spent at the festival and adding more visits to 4 of the fabulous Saxon Narrow Gauge lines along with retaining two mainline steam excursions including the parallel steam running and the climb up the Tharandt incline. Steam on the Dresden Parkeisenbahn, visiting the Transport Museum, riding the funicular railway, the suspension railway, and a cruise on the River Elbe.
